This class is both introduction and exploration. Learn and test the limits of what you can do with chalk pastels. Try different papers, techniques, and ideas. Whether you are experienced with pastel or trying them for the first time, this class will take you from where you are and give you new knowledge to test and practice using this very versatile medium.

Many of the master artists like Degas, Mary Cassatt and Toulouse-Lautrec, frequently used pastels. Discover what they knew, the advantage of the versatility and immediacy of this great medium. From a quick study to final piece, chalk pastels can do it all. Join us and see!
